Core Program Elements
We provide programs that keep youth safe! Our programs help youth develop the skills needed to succeed in school and life. We deliver holistic, community-based enrichment that is lead by youth voice and choice. Our core program areas are:
Our elementary afterschool program serves children in grades 2nd through 5th. This program consists of daily homework help and a diverse selection of student interest-based clubs’ offerings. These clubs help students develop a variety of skill sets while also yielding to youth voice and choice. Examples of club selections include arts, coding, gardening, sports, cooking, animation, etc. We place heavy emphasis on incorporating financial literacy and service-learning education. Every student will participate in weekly financial literacy enrichment and quarterly community-based service-learning projects.
Middle school Program
Our middle school program serves youth in grades 6th through 8th. This program consists of daily homework help, student interest-based club enrichment, weekly financial literacy education, and community-based service-learning projects. This program integrates meaningful peer mentoring. Middle school students are matched with high school student mentors. Students participate in weekly mentorship sessions. Mentors are involved in day-to-day program functions that cultivate positive outcomes. Mentors assist with homework help, participating in service-learning projects, and enrichment clubs.
High School Mentor Opportunity
Through our high school mentor opportunity, high school students will work in a leadership position as mentors to middle school students. Mentors are involved in day-to-day program functions that such as assisting with homework help and participating in service-learning projects and enrichment clubs. Mentors will receive valuable leadership, personal, and professional development experiences throughout the school year and summer.
Our summer program provides a structured and safe place for youth to come during July and August. Students receive breakfast and lunch daily. Similar to our school year programs, we offer club based enrichment, service-learning projects, financial literacy, mentorship, and academic enrichment. Our summer program is a half-day program that runs Monday through Friday.
