Friends at Camp

Core Program Elements

We provide programs that keep youth safe! Our programs help youth develop the skills needed to succeed in school and life. We deliver holistic, community-based enrichment that is led by youth voice. Our core program areas are:

Our elementary afterschool program serves children in grades 2nd through 5th. This program consists of daily homework help and a diverse selection of student interest-based clubs’ offerings. These clubs help students develop a variety of skill sets while also yielding to youth voice and choice. Examples of club selections include arts, coding, gardening, sports, cooking, animation, etc. We place heavy emphasis on incorporating financial literacy and service-learning education. Every student will participate in weekly financial literacy enrichment and quarterly community-based service-learning projects.

Summer Program

Our summer program provides a structured and safe place for youth to come during July and August. Students receive breakfast and lunch daily. Similar to our school year programs, we offer club based enrichment, service-learning projects, financial literacy, mentorship, and academic enrichment. Our summer program is a half-day program that runs Monday through Friday.
